Today marks the birthday of one of my dearest friends, and one of the greatest inspirations in my life. He has been my guardian angel, my support, and my companion for so many years. Thinking on how, by this time next year, his story will come to an end, his time of continuous light and laughter will be gone, and I will not be able to share any new adventures with him, I can’t help but to feel my heart ache. Because he has shaped me into the person I am today. He has saved me when I felt like I was drowning, just as he has saved so many countless others, despite his own fears and struggles.
